What practice drill could i use to improve attacking play in tennis for youth players?

One of the easiest is just having them start on the baseline in the middle of the court, then feed them an easy high loopy short ball that lands inside the service box in the middle of the court. Players will have to judge the ball correctly and attempt to hit their approach shot at the right height. Some of them may hit the ball when it's over their shoulders of heads some might let it drop too low. Make sure they are hitting the ball at shoulder height or a waist height if they are more comfortable with that. You can make them hit down the line first since it's easier to cover that shot once you're in at net and make them get comfortable with that. The key is comfort, if they feel like they can make the shot over and over then they gain confidence. After that you can vary the height and placement of the feed and also have them hit cross court or down the middle.
