What is the best way to teach the backhand volley to?

What is the best way to teach the backhand volley to mini reds age 5-7 years? Do you encourage seperation of nondominant hand on contact 'fly'?

keep the hands together...lower the net to half way...place targets a few few feet from the net...encourage points each time a student hits the volley...do not worry about having them turn sideways...importance is contact at this stage...after a few hundred balls...have the student move a little...then recover to the middle...one handed volleys are something you can teach at a later stage...lots of short easy balls...and BOOM...in no time your prodigy will be a master!!!
